The simplicity of Blackjack is one of the reasons that it is one of the most popular casino games in the world. If you have basic math skills then you will able to play Blackjack. Remember, the person that hits 21 or who is closest to it without going over, wins. The numbering system is pretty straight forward.
Cards 10 and below are taken at their face value. Face cards include King, Jack and Queen. They have a value of ten. An Ace can either equal 11 or 1. The person who has it will be able to choose the number that gives them the greatest advantage. An individual who is dealt an ace and a face card will automatically have blackjack and will win 3:2 from their bet.
Again, anything 10 and under, you count at its’ face value. For example, an 8 card (no matter the suite) will be equal to 8. If you had an 8 and 7, your hand would equal 15. Face cards, such as King, Queen and Jack are equal to 10. Aces can be used as 1 or 11. Which every value gives you the best chance to win, you use. If you had a Queen and an Ace, you would obviously use the Ace as the 11 and you would have Blackjack.
Blackjack appears to be a simple arithmetic game at first glance. While it is true that you have to be decent at math to be successful, it also requires skill. It is not a just a game of chance.
